The TEP Journey
The Engagement Platform was created with the mission to help schools and trusts systematically understand and improve engagement.
How it all began
Incubated by ImpactEd Group, TEP was created out of the need for a consistent and simple-to-use measurement tool for engagement. It was designed to test engagement as a leading indicator for school attendance, retention, and outcomes.
Employee pilot
We piloted measuring employee engagement. Results confirmed engagement as a lead indicator for staff retention, showing that happier employees support stronger schools.
Pupil pilot
The Research Commission on Engagement and Lead Indicators (RCELI) collected data from over 100K pupils across England. Findings confirmed strong links between engagement and pupil attendance and outcomes.
Families & Leaders
This year we are piloting engagement measures for families, leadership, and governors. This will be the largest free study, providing insights for reflection and targeted action across schools.
